The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore was founded in 1889 and the Johns Hopkins Medical College was founded after 1893. Milestone: Transperineal radical prostatectomy was established in 1904, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was developed in 1958, minimally invasive living donor nephrectomy was performed in 1995, and double arm transplantation was performed in 2012. Johns Hopkins Hospital was named the third best hospital in the United States by the News World Report. The hospital is also certified by the International Rehabilitation Quality Certification Board (CARF).
